Ah, the War on Terror…flawless and sleek.

Remember a couple of days back when the Administration announced the capture of a ‘high level al-Qaida agent’ the morning of John Kerry’s acceptance speech?  Remember how they jacked up the Terror Alert for New York because of that arrest? Well, not only was the information that the heightened terror alert was based on older than 9/11/01, it turns out that the detainee, Mohammad Naeem Noor Khan, was actually working with the Pakistani security forces as an undercover agent.  Wow. Way to blow that one!

Why is it so surprising that this administration would reveal an agent of a foreign nation when it revealed an agent of it’s own nation?

Of note in the article, “Bush opened the address, broadcast as he vacationed at his family’s summer home on the Maine coast, by saying, ‘My most solemn duty as president is to protect our country.’” Solemn duty, but not much of a priority since he still has time to vacation.  Even if he wanted to take some time off the whole national security thing, he could have spent the summer trying to improve life for those of us who don’t get to spend it on vacation.
