Most of us here at Transbuddha love us the Shatner. There’s just something so incredibly compelling about him.  He’s a class act and I for one am happy as hell he’s recorded another album.  That’s right…The Shat will sing again! But this time he’s got Ben Folds, Nick Hornby, Aimee Mann, Joe Jackson, Henry Rollins, and Adrian Belew kickin’ it with him. Oh, sh!t yeah!

Because I love you all, I’ve included a clip of Bill kickin’ it on the Pulp song, “Common People”Click here for Bill's version of the Pulp classic Common People

Whoa.  I love Pulp.  That was an amazing cover.  Thanks for sharing that!

Yes, I remember when you introduced me to the subtle pleasures of Pulp’s “This is Hardcore”. Those were the days.

    CD Warehouse peeps represent!

It’s funny, but at my job now, we’re hiring a new artist.  My boss asked me what’s a question I would want to ask the new applicant.  I said, “Shatner or Hasselhoff?”.

So my boss asked every applicant that question.  Hasselhoff answers were automatically thrown into the do not hire pile.  The guy that ended up getting the job responded with, “Shatner.  Because he’s got that two fisted punch that could take out any enemy.”

    True story.

Damn you for pointing out that Aimee Mann has anything to do with this cd.  Now I have to corrupt my mind by listening to it.  Evil.

On the application question thing, we had something like that at one of my jobs but it was about Fight Club.  The question was, “ What do you know about Fight Club.” That had nothing to do with Da Captain but I can’t think in a straight line so its alright.

Did people have to respond, “nothing,” or “You do not talk about fight club”?

Depended on our mood, and how they looked when they said ‘nothing’.  We accepted both answers usually, but if they would of gave us the whole speech that happens at the copy machine, we would of made them king.
