My Grandmother: Pinko Leftist Commie

My 80-year old grandmother wrote this to my mother recently, showing that the insidious left-wing conspiracy knows no bounds.Yes, that was such a tragedy in Russia.  The violence all over the world is worsening, so I don’t know why anyone thinks Bush is making the world safer.  His war has spawned a lot of hatred and killing.  He is running on a fear platform, and has all the earmarks of a dictator. I’ve read a lot about the things he’s done, threatening congressmen, denying them appointments and inclusion in meetings, so they do what he wants. A big scandal here was when he had the police force people with dissenting signs behind a wire fence, so they wouldn’t be seen on TV.  Just recently, someone asked a war question at a rally and he had the man thrown out of the hall.  He brooks no dissension, and that is not the American way.

Maybe you’re a Bush fan, but I remember Nazi Germany and I fear for this country if he gets in again.. I read both sides, by the way.

I’ve noticed this trend in our older population. Up until 2000 my father was a rabid republican. Now he mostly talks about how Bush and Cheney are crooked.

I just don’t understand it.  I have talked to so many people that normally vote strictly Republican that this year are either voting Kerry or at least not voting for Bush, and yet he’s winning.  Who are these people??  If no Dems are voting for him, and many Republicans are abandoning ship, where are these polling numbers coming from?

    Kansas, is my guess.

Remember, polling data is gathered by questioning people too stupid to get out of a telephone survey. Is it any wonder they’re Pro-Bush?
