This site is a humorous site on a very serious topic. The draft may be coming back, infact as this site points out, many military experts expect a return of the draft. I know what you are thinking. You are thinking, “Hey souped, how can a website that addresses the return of the draft be humorous?” Well, check it out. This site has many funny moments at the expense of those who are 18-34 (or up to 44 if you are lucky enough to have experience in foriegn languages, computers, or the medical fields!). They probe such deep issues as the likely hood of partying it up in Baghdad with those wacky party girls the Bush twins, addresses why the draft would be awesome, and has quotes such as “I look killer in a black body bag, and I don’t even work out!”

Give the site a look.

I can tell you from an Air Force perspective they are offering people across the board

“early out” oppurtunities because the Air Force is over manned.  Why would WE neeed a draft?

Well, from what I understood it’s not like the insurgents have Lou Gossett, jr. on their side.

I do not believe the draft will be reinstated.  That possibility is too terrifying for me to accept.  I can think of nothing worse than participating in a war that I feel is morally wrong.  I can’t even kill spiders, for Christ’s sake.

    That’s why we have Canada.

They dont draft people like you…. They are called contentious objectors…

  • http://www.dadsbigplan.com .alphamonkey.

Oh no, they draft them all right. They just send ‘em to prison when they refuse to fight. (Remember ole’ Cassius Clay?)

I would, quite frankly, rather be in prison.

Good thing I have bad knees/bad eyesight/a college career/a vagina.

I knew you meant ‘conscientious’, FlyBoy, but the idea of a contentious objecter is pretty funny.

Aren’t most objectors contentious?  I mean, if you aren’t angry enough to object, why are you an objector?

  • http://www.dadsbigplan.com .alphamonkey.

I don’t think objectors do so because of a perverse love or argument.

  • http://360.yahoo.com/razorfine_review Thundarr

You don’t think it’s their contentiousness, their quarrelsome nature, that fuels their public objection?  I think many people that become public debators (or master-de-bators like George Bush) do so not to win the argument, but just to have the argument.  Kind of like those dicks on Crossfire.

hehe.. another Buddhist who uses “for Christ’s sake”.  Love it.

  • FlyBoy311

As much as I respect your great wisdom am… this is just not so.. check this out.. Objectors

  • http://www.dadsbigplan.com .alphamonkey.

Yah, I realize that the military does actually recognize concientious objectors, but it is insanely difficult to prove yourself as such. (Which is understandable, since it’d be such an easy cop-out otherwise)

  • FlyBoy311

And I apologize for the spelling error… thats what I get for using word to check my spelling… :(

  • FlyBoy311

    Just your you am…
