Bleached Out Rock n’ Roll

The rock n’ roll that found it’s way to white audiences was about as authentic as Wonder Bread.  But I guess that’s not really a shock.

Here’s a fun little comparison of Joe Turner’s version of “Shake, Rattle, and Roll” compared to the more famous Bill Haley version.
