The US military is in final preparations to activate our much-touted, much-debated missile defense system.  However, the $85 million dollar test scheduled for yesterday had to be delayed…. due to cloud cover.

In related news, today China and Russia unveiled their latest efforts to stay up to speed with the arms race; China, by announcing their “Wait For An Overcast Day Initiative”, and Russia, with plans to begin R&D on their “FogMaker II Intercontinental Ballistic Missile”.

Favorite quote from the article:  “Lehner said the interceptor actually shooting down the target is not a primary goal of the mission.”

Suggested things the scientists should also beware before activating defense system:

1.  migratory birds

2.  kite competitions

3.  Superman

it’s even better than telling people they will not have increased taxes to pay for SSI. maybe when we recycle the parts of this hunk of nonworking shit we can scavage a few bux for medicare.

NASA spent millions of dollars and hundreds of man-hours developing a pen that would write in space.

    The Russians used a pencil.

Maybe we should just focus on convincing enemy missiles that they shouldn’t detonate during foul weather.
