When Good Technology Goes Bad

GPS has been a good thing. It has many uses, such as allowing motorists find their destination with ease. But, just imagine that you are driving on a highway in Eastern France and your GPS tells you to pull a U-Turn on the crowded highspeed road, what do you do? Just do as this man did and follow instructions. The driver was old, so I don’t know who to blame this one on, perhaps we’ll call it a shared liablility.

GPS satellites scare me.  The antenna array looks like a hypodermic torture device.

I know what you mean. The thing looks like some sort of lazer gatling gun or some other sort of weapon.

Why isn’t it pointed at the Earth?  Is this part of Reagan’s left over Star Wars technology?  Or is Bush planning on attacking Mars because that’s where the real terrorists are.
