If Fred Durst gets hit by a meteor, my day will be complete.

Sad news, crappy music fans!  Not only has Brian “Head” Welch found Jeebus and left Korn, but Blink 182 has apparently had a moment of clarity and realized that they in fact, suck ass.

Now, let’s see if some promoter will fund my idea of a “Rocky Mountain HIgh Tour” featuring Nickleback, Puddle of Mudd, and Evanesence.

If anyone knows who these guys are or what band they’re in, tell them I hate them too.

Okay, I’m with you on Blink 182 and Durst, but Korn rocks da hizzy.  Quality, quality angry music.

korn hasn’t rocked since ‘96 maybe ‘98. in fact, they have downright sucked balls. I’m not even going to go into the retarded ass cover they attempted.

I would like to nominate: Coldplay, Scott what’s his nuts formerly of creed, Mark Mcgrath,Linkin Park, and john mayer, I would like all of these people to be urinated on by any beast while being repeatedly struck by lightening, to get that baked in flavor.

Okay, I will grant that their older stuff is stronger.  But they have, at certain points, rocked!

I won’t disagree with the rest with the exception of Coldplay.  I have harbored this knee-jerk reaction that if soccer moms and sorority girls like it, it must suck.  But the fact is, that is not always the case.  (It usually is, but not always)

coldplay may be the only thing i agree with fealty on. the unlovable oaf speaks truth; the lead singer of coldplay’s voice makes me want to shove hot coals in my ears.

however, linkin park and john mayer are both fantastic. mark mcgrath isn’t half bad, for 90’s rock. it’s fun stuff to reminisce to, i’ll admit it, but such trips down memory lane are only allowable in the event that others are present. blink 182, i’ll admit, is a guilty pleasure of mine.

and Korn is fantastic, so shut the hell up.

Your entire premise is rendered moot by your defense of John Mayer, whose ball-less, esterogen soaked ‘rock’ is in fact, a insiduous criminal device devised to atrophy your penis.

AM your brain is a wonderland… and I want to get in your pants like neverland.

JMP you have explained so much about yourself… god speed my man

Wow dude.  Slamming Coldplay while defending Blink 182 and John Mayer.  From now on, I will guide my own discovery of new music by doing the opposite of what you suggest. smile

I never had a problem w/ coldplay until I went to europe and was forced to hear the first cd on infinite repeat. and the longer I listened to it, the more i realized they guys would not exist w/o radiohead. that and the lead singers near puberty cracking voice. or maybe it’s just gweneth paltrow.

I don’t have any real problem with Coldplay.  So what if they couldn’t exist without Radiohead? Radiohead wouldn’t be around if it weren’t for Achtung Baby, so what’s the difference?

I used to hate Coldplay until I realized that at no point do they even pretend to rock. It’s all mid-tempo ballads designed to get your gal all wistful and in the mood. I’m totally okay with that.

20 years from now they’ll be thought of as the 2000’s version of Air Supply.
