Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club

Can you believe it has been 20 years since the glory days of John Hughes and The Breakfast Club?  There were better movies from the ‘eighties, but when I try to think of a film that encompasses that time, this is the one that always comes to mind.

Remember when Judd Nelson was cool, Molly Ringwald was hot, before Anthony Michael Hall started seeing dead people, and when Emilio Estevez still had a career?

Really?  Didn’t see it.  I just liked the KC Star article and wanted to share the link.

Love that movie. Coolest 80’s soundtrack!

I believe I still have this film memorized. back in college, my roommate and I had a tv that picked up 2 stations (barely) and no movies (vhs of course). so we borrowed this from someone and watched it everyday for a couple of weeks. the funny thing is that we never got tired of it.

why do I feel like the straightest male here?

besides that movie is racist… where are the minorities? oh that’s right the only exist in N. chicago to mow lawns and shit, and then they send them back to schaumburg. Does he show a single black person in any of his movies, let alone give a speaking role? the only minority coming to mind now is Donger, and damnit they were just looting the idea of chinese sidekick from temple of doom and green hornet.

prove me wrong w/ your infinite knowledge…

actually, it’s people like me who just like to start shit. I didn’t realized so many people here were on john huges dick.

and it does kind of matter if you are talking about a movie that defines a generation.

feelings on my collar… mmmkay is that some kind of neointerpretive slang. I’d say I wear my attitude on my shoulders… just like atlas.
