I’d actually forgotten that I had this trailer in my folder until I saw a couple of other sites showcasing it these last few days.  For those of you unfortunately enough to be unfamiliar with the phenomenal short films “Wallace & Gromit”, this should serve to introduce you to some of the finest animation you’ll ever see.  Yes, Dreamworks made a lot of dreams come true and is releasing the first full length W&G film: Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the WereRabbit

Do yourselves a favor and go out to rent the collected Wallace & Gromit short films on DVD.  In addition to being stunningly well done, they’re funny, clever, and some seriously good filmaking.

I thought Wallace and Gromit were some of the first CG animated shorts.  I must be thinking of something else.

You must be.  W&G are lovingly hand-manipulated claymation.  Like the California Raisins.  Or Jim Nabors.

This makes me happy, very very happy. I have a DVD with three episodes on it and I am worried about wearing it out. Kudos, this should be good.

I’ve got the video game.  It’s pretty sweet.
