Google Goes Satellite

Google has expanded their recently introduced Google Maps function by allowing users to view satellite images of their search locations, which can be repositioned, zoomed, and navigated just like the existing road maps. 

It looks as it if they’re still compiling some area’s imagery, but there’s enough there to play around with.

    it didn’t pull up any photos for me… just maps boo hoo

    pull up a map, then go to the top right side of the page. there’s a “satellite” link that’ll turn that map right into a digital image.

    it just sat and churned on me for about an hour. and I did finally get it to pull something up in chicago.
