In the Year of Roberta Flack

Who needs arcane and obscure astrological jibber jabber like ‘moon-this’ ‘sun-that’ when you can break it down with the kings and queens of popular music?  It’s horoscopes for music lovers!  Call it Popstrology!

Now when I need to fill in a little about myself on resumes, I’ll just put “Born in the Year of Roberta Flack, my birthstar is Billy Preston and my birthsong “Will it go round in circles”.  That’ll save a LOT of time.

If you doubt Popstrology’s divinitive power, I submit to you these facts:

The Good Reverend was born in the year without a dominator under the birthstar/song combo of Blue Suede’s “Hooked on a Feeling” (You know, that awful song that provided the soundtrack to that horrid little dancing baby that almost killed the internet).  I can’t possibly convey just how much that explains about him.

ZolarCzakl, to his eternal shame, was born in the Year of Debbie Boone, under The Eagle’s “Hotel California” (Sometimes known by it’s alternate title, “We Are the Jibbering Minions of Satan”).

What’s your pop sign, baby?

I, too, am born in the year of Rod Stewart.  Not the Faces Rod, but the one that wore pink hot pants like an aging Floridian.  And my good-natured love of Sucrets just took a turn for the worse.

Also, my birthsong is “Saturday Nights” by the Bay City Rollers, which explains why I am a homosexual.

    My sign: Mustache Rock

    Birthstar Birthsong:

Carly Simon – You’re So Vain

You’re So Vain, now that’s pretty damn fitting.
