His art is cool, but too reminiscent of the stuff I doodled during class in high school.  The schematic style is an interesting pair to his soft, curvy illustration style, but it feels half-heartedly executed.  Skeletons are only partially shown and feel like an afterthought; little attention is given to continuity in the details.  In the end, the schematic details seem to be tacked on for added visual interest rather than an attempt to convey an extra dimension of information about the object in the drawing.  Maybe it’s supposed to be ironic, but to me it just looks like he doesn’t understand what he’s doing.  On top of that, the juxtaposition of mechanic and organic forms is somewhat cliche.

But he’s critically acclaimed and works for a huge company, so what do I know.
