Comic Timeline

in Comics!

Ever wonder what would happen if a comic book fan grew up and had Waaaaay too much time on his hands and an understanding of the Internet?  Well wonder no further, I give you

This is as complete as any compilation of DC Comics history I’ve ever seen.  The site is broken down into the different time periods (Golden Age, Silver Age, etc.) compiling all important events and arranging them in chronological order, listing the specific issues that the events occurred, with footnotes.  DC Comics has had some issues with continuity with the original timeline run, several relaunches, company wide cross-overs like Crisis on Infinite Earths and Zero Hour.  This site takes everything and puts it in order, quite an arduous task.  It’s very detailed as the author states it’s “complete, comprehensive, canonical, cross-referenced, original, and annotated” history of all DC comic characters.  Whew!

some issues w/ chronology… that’s a good joke. Am I the only one here who has always thought DC was for chodes? weak characters they have been squeezing every cent out of for what seems like a century. I’ll give them they have had some good artists over the years, but boring plots and characters. I was so happy to hear of the death of superman, until they brought him back again.
