I’ve got to say, the minds behind This Spartan Life have hit upon one of the single most innovative show formats of all time:  Using the shared space of Halo2 to conduct interviews with tech pioneers and digital artists.

Using two players as cameramen/women, and another as a DJ (as well as a host), this group invites participants and interview subjects to use the virtual shared space to serve as the ultimate low-cost studio.  Now, if they could only keep the rest of the players from killing their guests…..

Host Damien and guest Bob Stein discuss the pitfalls and upshots to virtual space.

Halo 2 looks pretty cool.  I wonder if they did this in the middle of the night, the map is so empty.

From what I gathered, they did it by vigorously protecting that little enclave, though as you can see from the video, other players still get in.

And let me assure you, the middle of the night aint’ gonna be empty.
