James Nachtwey is a photographer with a magical eye, for tragedy. His pictures are haunting, but intimately eye opening.
Wow, these are absolutely stunning. I love photojournalism; there is such a fine line between beauty and fine art in photography and journalism. I think this site captures both. There are many photos here that bring a tear.
I can’t believe that some of the subjects are real people. The famine victims are particularily unreal. While I know all of the photographs are real, I just don’t want to believe it. These photos deplict real suffering, the kind that most of us will never experience.
