A City In Ruins

People that know me are aware of the fact that I spent a good chunk of my life in close proximity of Detroit. While living within 30 miles of the city, I only made into Detroit on several occasions, and each time I was in awe.

This website shows the beauty in the destruction and certainly makes a strong case for restoring, not rebuilding Detroit.  Detroit was once a first class city, and could be again. Browse the site and check out the arciteture, history, and culture of Detroit today and in the good ole days.

I dont think your links working, I think you were trying to link this though:

It’s good to hear about another city from the Rustbelt with the same problems. I’m from the Buffalo area, and as I type this right now this building

is right out the window. What it doesn’t show is where the building is just falling apart. I’ve found the beauty of this dead city I live in pretty interesting, and even though I haven’t taken pictures of some of the best parts, here are a couple of photo albums I’ve created:

The first album is of the Buffalo Central Station which is boarded up and locked down right in one of the not-so-good parts of Buffalo.

The second is of other places in Buffalo including some of my own pictures of the Buffalo State Hospital.

    I hope you like it.
