Our pal Ariel was in NYC this weekend (about which we’ll have more tomorrow), and she was kind enough to share her footage of a crew busting it out on the sidewalks of NYC. Awe-Some!
Some of these guys’ moves are just jawdroppingly cool. They barely look like human movement.

It almost looked like they started with the “electric slide” for a second there.
Haha…I can never get enough of this stuff. So I guess if it were up to me, they’d never stop.
A disappointing lack of applause, though…
New Yorkers…they’re so jaded.
If only Kansas City had this instead of crackhead bums and retarded fat women who play the Pink Panther theme over and over again on their saxophone.
Ahh, true break dancers, better than the fillipinos at Ka’ahumanu!
I work on 41st & Madison in NYC and everyday I walk to Union Square on my way home from work. I would say at least twice a week there is a breakdancing crew in Union Square tearing it up. Sometimes they’ll have a fat guy playing a drum set, sometimes they’ll have a little jam box, and others times they’ll have a huge friggin’ PA system. The best is this one group that has this 8 year old kid in the group who comes out of no where and just goes off. It’s awesome. The only problem is that I’ve seen it it so much now, I never really watch anymore. Plus, if you don’t clap or you cross their little tape line, they start getting in your face. So, I may be jaded, but I haven’t been cut yet, either.
Not bad though this guy blows them away.
Here’s a good example of his work:

This wasn’t really meant to be a definitive ‘best ever’ kind of thing. It was just a cool street scene.
Oh, no, I’m not sayin’ they sucked. No doubt they were cool. I’m just sayin’ that the guy I mentioned was balls-to-the-wall amazing.
