M-Flo feat. BoA – The Love Bug

I’m fascinated by this. It’s a J-Pop group that is nigh indistinguishable from it’s American counterparts, in that it sounds like any number of crappy Top 40 tunes.

What’s noteworthy is the few Nipponese touches that do make their way into the song and video. I love watching one culture ape another so adeptly.

    That video was slightly irrtating… I like BoA’s other stuff though. And she is quite popular in Japan.

    Re: Qing. I havent spent alot of time watching Japanese MTV recently, but about a week ago I saw the top 20 or so hits and M-Flo wasnt one of them. I guess it depends on how you define popularity.
