What A Fake

Girl Power proves that women in print are fake and tries to educate. Yes, we already knew that, but now you can see step by step the difference between every part on the body. Changes from hair to shirt color make this young lady a totally different person, all thanks to a click of the mouse.

From the site:

The media world is becoming increasingly fixated on appearances. And the number of tricks used to achieve the increasingly exaggerated ideals is growing. Many models have plastic surgery and even more are retouched so they appear to have bigger breasts, smaller stomachs or fuller lips.

I am outraged at the liberties they took with changing the color of that shirt!

Aw crap, that girl is only 14. The only coarse of action now is to burn the wads of tissue paper and try to forget this.

It’s a make believe world, why not populate it with idealized people?

I’m guessing nobody ever paid for Glamour Shots?  I don’t think the act itself is so outrageous as long as the populace is educated.

I have to say that shade of blond really doesn’t suit her, though.

I get a big kick out of the horrid photoshop retouching jobs that get plastered on movie posters and DVD covers.  I mean c’mon…does Zhang Ziyi or Scarlett Johansson really need the help?  I remember an article about Jessica Alba being retouched on the FF movie poster.  Folks, they’re already gorgeous..it’s why they’re in movies in the first place.

How do you think the tabloids make so much off the “articles” where they have photos of celebrities going about normal day-to-day activities, and rave about how horrible they look.  They don’t look horrible, they look real, and I agree with the Monkey, they’re in movies for a reason.  Even on a bad day, they probably look better than the average schmo.  Except for the pictures of Katie Holmes when it looked like she got mauled by a wild animal, those definitely should have been touched up.

    She looks better natural

Yeah, I hate pretty blondes with big, firm breasts.
