Retrievr is a program that lets you search through Flickr with a rough sketch. It’s kind of cool, you can use a color and it will bring up photos with only that color relation or use black and you will get black and white photos.

I drew the little black and white sketch and one of my search options was the black and white photo you see above from Noqontrol. I have to admit, he’s got some great and really weird photography, but some is a little questionable and maybe not so safe for work.

I’m either a really poor artist or it doesn’t work so good. See what you can dig up with your artistic abilities. Personally, I like trying to draw stuff with such an uncontrollable medium.

You’re just a piss poor artist.

Computer image recognition is damn hard.  And really, if you look a the tonal values of the picture and the sketch while suppressing your symbol recognition, it did a pretty good job.

    Nice find in a find!

I drew a simple landscape twice, and very similar landscapes appeared.  Impressive.

When I drew a simple stick figure and a single yellow arch, no real matches were given, but “Livin’ La Vida Loca” did start playing on my computer’s speakers.  Technology truly is the Grand Wazoo.
