Our pals over at d.h.a.d.m. have been running selected clips from TBS’s Funniest Commercials show (which we missed like complete dopes), and so far this spot for Travelocity UK is our favorite.
Can you imagine the outcry if this had run in the US? I think Texas would have spontaneously exploded.
That may be the best casting/acting I’ve seen in a spot.

If you can find some adverts from Germay, Denmark, Holland, Sweden and Australia, they have some real good stuff. I’ve not had a TV for many years but I can remember seeing a program hosted by Clive James wher he showed adverts from around the world and some of them were fairly near the knuckle.
Absolutely. While in some cases I think US markets get some really great ad work, Europe especially gets the best and the brightest. Japan does as well, but all their stuff is well, Japan.
Bravo would show it.
