You’d think that I’d be wary of new cola flavors after Coke’s noxious ‘black cherry vanilla’ offering (kissed by vanilla, my sweet monkey ass.  More like molested by vanilla), but damned if I’m not serious willing to try some cappuccino flavored Pepsi

Yah, roll that one around you skull for a minute.  Cappuccino flavored Pepsi.  The mind, it does boggle.

Does anyone have any idea who the band is? It’s obviously a remake of the Frank Sinatra/Ella Fitzgerald/whoever sang it first, but who is the band? It sounds like the strokes, but I can’t tell . . . nor can I find it on google.

From what I can tell, that version of the cole porter tune was done by the inhouse musicians of Mammoth Music (a commercial music group)

There is a carbonated esspesso soda thats made in NYC, and I’ve had it in a few italian deli’s around (especially in Florida for some reason).. It’s pretty good actually, but the sugar-free version is nasty..

Um, I like Black Cherry Vanilla Coke.  I, ah, actually had been waiting on that shit for awhile because I love both flavors as a soda additive.

Whether or not it tastes good, that’s a stupid name.  They should just bring back Pepsi Clear (yum!).

  • joebob

I preferred Crystal Coke, nice name. if I wanted a capuccino flavored caffeinated beverage, why wouldn’t I just get a capuccino? Just wondering.

  • http://www.livejournal.com/users/shadwstalkr Shadow Stalker

I never saw the clear Coke.  I thought that the only clear drink they did was clear Tab, which tasted like old grapefruit.  I wonder which lost worse in taste tests, clear Coke or clear Pepsi.

you weren’t supposed to see Crystal Coke.  It’s clear.

    Dude…

  • daemoneyes

I’m with joebob, if I want capuccino, I’ll buy capuccino.  Besides, every Pepsi product I’ve ever tried, except for Pepsi One oddly enough, has been utterly foul.  Especially that god-awful crystal Pepsi.

  • Rootberry

no way.. mountain dew is great! I used to drink a hundred cans of dew a week, right up until my 3rd heart attack…

Wild Cherry Pepsi is one of the best damn sodas ever made, and I will fight anyone who doesn’t like the Pepsi Lime.

  • daemoneyes

Haven’t seen the Pepsi lime, but I like the Coke version.  I do like the cherry pepsi also, forgot about that one.

  • http://www.dadsbigplan.com .alphamonkey.

The Coke Lime tastes too much like bad tea, but I’ve dug the Pepsi Lime since I first had in Mexico about 5 years ago.

  • http://www.livejournal.com/users/shadwstalkr Shadow Stalker

I haven’t tried the Pepsi Lime, but I liked Pepsi Twist a lot.  Sure, it tastes like a syrupy furniture polish, but in a good way.

  • daemoneyes

I’ll forever be a Mountain Dew junkie, as it’s one of the things that helped keep me alive in the military, but I really like the new Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper.  Unfortunately, it’s still rather a challenge to find.  Maybe I’ll just move back to somewhere that has a Sonic, where I can get any flavored soda my little caffeine addiction desires.

Except that they switched to using Sprite for their Cherry Limeade, which is the dumbest thing ever.

  • daemoneyes

They did WHAT?!  When will corporations learn not to f*ck with things that are perfect the way they are?  That’s worse than Arby’s confusing the crap out of me by changing to a “jamocha shake” instead of a “black cow”.

    hi

  • Chaud

    I found a worm in a Jolt Cola once…

  • http://www.dadsbigplan.com .alphamonkey.

    That’s a ‘flavor stick’.

  • http://www.livejournal.com/users/shadwstalkr Shadow Stalker

I told them they shouldn’t move their bottling plant to Jalisco, but did they listen?

  • http://www.dadsbigplan.com .alphamonkey.

Hey! Don’t knock Jalisco!  I’ve got family there, Mister… Plus, the Modelo bottling plant is there.

  • http://www.livejournal.com/users/shadwstalkr Shadow Stalker

I’m not knocking Jalisco, I’m just saying that if you’re bottling a beverage there, expect a worm or two.  It’s in their blood.

  • Chaud

The Modelo “flavour stick” bottling plant?

  • http://www.dadsbigplan.com .alphamonkey.

Ooooh, treading dangerous ground knocking Modelo.

  • daemoneyes

Modelo Especial is one of the best beers I’ve ever had.

  • Chaud

Never tried it, anything south of canada is too weak for me anyway. I like our canadian beer that has an avaerage of 6%. Us hosers know how to get hosed.

  • daemoneyes

Take off, eh?  You hoser.  I actually prefer Ozzie beer over most anything on this continent.  It’s next to impossible to find the really good ones anywhere in the States, unfortunately.  My ex-girlfriend knew I loved VB so much that she actually brought back a bottle of it for me.  Damn, I miss that woman.

  • Chaud

My condolences dude, but I hate to break it ya, your livin in the past man. Don’t dwell and idolize in our comment section damn it. Anyway, yeah VB is awesome. I’de still preffer a nice charlie flint, alleycat’s our edmonton mini brewery. It rocks, but your right good beer almost always come from over seas. I like Innis and Gun, from Edenburgh Scotland.
