Jeremy Warmsley – Dirty Blue Jeans

Director Ben Rollason submitted this clip for Jeremy Warmsley’s ’Dirty Blue Jeans‘ and I’m damn glad he did.  I hadn’t heard of Warmsley before this, but I dig the Kinks vibe he lays down.  The video, which is comprised of manipulated still shots (what is with that trend right now?), is pretty slick, too.

Rollason also directed the ‘ High Tide‘ promo for Boomclick, which I absolutely adored (and posted back in June of last year.) How I left that off the 2005 Music Video roundup is totally beyond me.  Sorry, Ben.  Consider it retroactively in the list.

Uhh, I’m not sure but I think I liked it

If the musical trend of looking backwards for new music is going to continue, I think Village Green sounding Kinks is as good a place as any to start.

Of course, I’d be estatic if The Jam or T. Rex became big influences again.
