Here’s a listing of Entertainment Weekly’s 25 worst sequels.
I personally liked a few of them, but I’d say they’re dead on on the rest.
I agree with a lot of that. Although, I would have put “Phantom Menace” at the top spot. What a massive turd. And I think “Matrix Reloaded” is unfairly maligned. “Revolutions,” on the other hand…that’s where the series really failed me.
If by ‘unfairly maligned’ you mean ‘not nearly hated enough’, I agree.
I know, I know, that’s what most people think. And I’m not saying it’s perfect. But I think it’s definitely worth revisiting. Here’s a review I wrote of all three films, if you’re bored: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=13432.
No “Grease 2”? Surely I’m not the only simian cenobite to secretly like that piece of crap. The worst sequel ever. Herpes simplex two is a better sequel to have.
WTF!!! I LOVED THE PHANTOM MENACE!!!!! jeeze and i also liked the second matrix also (granted the first is better than any of them)
The only reason I can sit through the Phantom Menace is the kick ass saber duel at the end, but even that’s tainted by the other crap with Yipppppe! the Kid.
