George Harrison – Something

It’s always the quiet ones, isn’t it?  I hadn’t seen this compiled video for ’Something‘ before, but the thrown together aspect can’t deter from what’s still one of the best love songs ever written.

On a related note, I stumbled across this clip from the 2004 Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame Induction for George Harrison in which an all star band gets down and tears through ’While My Guitar Gently Weeps‘.  In and of itself it’s pretty damn amazing.  Jeff Lynn and Tom Petty do a great job on the vocals, but the real standout is fellow 2004 inductee Prince coming in and just absolutely ripping through an incredible guitar solo.  It’s easy to forget just how incredible a player the Purple One really is (unless of course you’ve seen him live, and then you can never forget).

Words are missing to express how it makes feel…

I’d never think Prince was such a “giant”…

    Thanks ..!
