It’s refreshing to see obesity in America taken head on (and in a totally not PC manner), but I’m not sure a trash talking diet pill is exactly the answer.

Wow, my self worth has plumeted to zero.  Luckily I don’t own a gun.

I do however have access to plenty of assorted medications.  Hmmmmmmm…………

Is this real? I’m wondering how they could get away with mentioning specific brand names, like Skittles and Crisco.

There’s no reason they can’t mention brand names owned by other companies, unless they defame or otherwise slander the brand. Think of all the Bud/Miller commercials that mention one another, for example.  The reason you don’t hear commercials mentioning other brands by name very often is most likely because they don’t want to give them free advertising, even if it’s negative.

    My guess would be yes.

I saw this ad for the first time a few nights ago and although I don’t personally find it offensive, I do think that whoever came up with this concept failed to realize that offending it’s potential customers is never a good idea.

You should write that down and send it to Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
