Supergroups = Good

You know, the supergroup tradition has a long and rocky history.  Sure sometimes you get Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, or maybe Blind Faith, but most often you get Damn Yankees, or The Power Station.  Why do I bring this up?  Behold! Nitty Gritty Dirt Band with, well….everyone.  This version of ’Will the Circle Be Unbroken‘ is actually from the Vol. 2 sessions which, while not being the landmark album Vol. 1 was, is still pretty kickass.  Some hefty chunks of my record collection are represented by many of the artists in this studio clip.  If you’re wondering, the image is Levon Helms and Emmylou Harris.

    WTF?! Johnny Cash wasn’t wearing black?  I think my brain just melted.

    Still a great clip.
