The Chemical Brothers – Let Forever Be

I’ve been a big fan of Michael Gondry’s videos since the very first time I saw Bjork’s ‘Army of Me’ video.  While all of his output has been visually stunning, this Chemical Brothers clip is the one that made me an unabashed fan of the French filmmaker.  Get your gander on for Let Forever Be.  Strangely enough, this clip’s premise very much ties into Gondy’s upcoming film The Science of Sleep (the trailer for which you can view here).

The combination of film and hand held video in this clip is just brilliant. I love how he uses the dancers as live action versions of cheesy 80s video effects. it’s so clever.

He’s made so many great videos!

Michel Gondry is indeed awesome.  If you are a fan, he has a DVD of all of his music video work right here.  I also demand that anyone that reads this, go out and get the Gondry directed Dave Chappelle’s Block Party, the unrated version.  It is truly a fantastic film featuring some serious talent that will shape the entertainment industry over the next couple of years.  Did I mention that Gondry directed it?  Oh yeah, I did.  Know about it.

Oh, and watch Block Party through some nice headphones. Trust me.
