Unflinching Triumph

Here’s an interesting little online nugget:  Unflinching Triumph: The Phillip Rockhammer Story.  It’s a mockumentary about professional staredowners (!) by director JR McCord, but what makes it so interesting is that, in addition to being able to watch the whole film for free on the website, there’s a considerable stealth campaign going on behind it.  Astute ‘Buddha reader Mark gave me a heads-up on this collection of sites that are affiliated with the movie in one way or another.

Part of me thinks this is part of some bigger campaign, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out what it is.  All I do know is that it very much reminds of me the Buddy Lee campaign that first introduced a still tender Web to viral advertising.
