VW has taken an interesting approach to marketing the safeness of their Jetta. Normally we’re never allowed to see the impact in those crash test videos, but VW is betting you’d rather see it than imagine it. If you’re like me and need your overactive imagination sated, you might get a kick out of watching a Jetta get pounded by a tree, a boulder, or maybe a UFO. (just pick a car and choose ‘watch safe happen’ )
Wow, does this mean the advertising era of talking down to the market is soon to end? Somehow I doubt it. Rest assured America, we mouthbreathers will still be dumbed upon by Associate Degree art students who blew their way into an ad agency.
