One man’s near obsession with Bill Watterson’s Calvin & Hobbes results in an interesting treasure trove of rare illustrations and interviews with the notoriously reclusive Watterson.  The Complete Calvin & Hobbes is one of my dearest literary possessions, so I can undestand this guy’s mania for all things C&H.

aha. You found my sweet spot. I grew up with Calvin and Hobbes. In fact, trying to sketch the comics myself was the first step towards my chosen profession. They definately helped shape who I am today.

They don’t make strips like they used to.

Same goes for cartoons. There’s something wrong with the world when a cartoon named “Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!” is aired. If only it could live up to the name. But, to be fair, nothing really could. This shall be the name of my first-born.

You know what I miss? Freakazoid.
