The CommonCensus Map Project

The CommonCensus Map Project is working on a map of the United States that’s based on the actual spheres of influence projected by cities and regions, rather than the traditional state boundries.  It’s an interesting look at the country, that’s for sure.

    Wow – awesome site – the only thing that is going to be more interesting than this is when the survey progresses to hundreds of thousands of votes.  Also, the page has a great series of maps on sports team identification, the Common Census Sports Map Project.  Completely worth a look.
