Quick! When I say ‘potato salad’ you say what? Why, ‘contortionists’, of course!  No?  Perhaps you’ve never seen the 1944 MGM classic, Broadway Rhythm, which features the talented Ross sisters performing their song, dance, and twist routine to share with us the joys of that potluck staple: potato salad.

Amazingly, this makes the Kids in the Hall skit about potato salad the second weirdest bit about the dish ever.

Thanks to the always rocktastic WFMU blog for the find.

Saddly I was one of those few who the phrase “potato salad” recalls the Kids in the hall skit to mind first and foremost.
