The Footsoldier of the Apocalypse

Samsung recently teamed up with the Korea University to develop what will surely be one of the last things you see before you die.  Yup, it’s a machine gun equipped sentry robot capable of tracking and eliminating moving targets (ie. the lumbering meat bags known as mankind).  No word on whether this little bugger will team up with the robot that thinks humans taste like bacon, but you can bet some dumbass will eventually introduce them.

Reports suggest that the ‘bot will run around the $200,000 mark.  That’s dumb.  I bet you could buy one from this guy for way cheaper.

Watch a promotional clip for the sentry here.  Wow, it’s not often we’re given publicity material for our own Armageddon.

Have we learned nothing from ED-209? This thing could at least give you “30 seconds to comply”. I wonder how long it will be before America puts these things all along the Mexican border.

I bet they show up in the Foodcourt first.

Cars are starting to park themselves, guns and missles are thinking for themselves, does no one else notice that we’re heading down a path that will surely lead to our destruction? We’re constantly both depending on and giving more power/intelligence to our robots, and sooner or later their logic will lead them to an inevitable discovery: The human race is malfunctioning and/or obsolete, and must be eliminated.

That why, when I die, I’m having my brain put into a robot body. They’ll never see it coming.
