Goodnight Peter Boyle

You’ve probably caught the news that actor Peter Boyle died on Tuesday night, after a long battle with multiple myeloma and heart disease.  While he’s best known for his character on Everybody Loves Raymond, I’ll always remember him from a truly scary turn in Joe, and of course his brilliant performance in Young Frankenstein.

So let’s take a moment and remember a guy who was certainly a staple in the films of my youth in this scene with the similarly brilliant Gene Wilder as they take on Irvin Berlin’s Puttin’ on the Ritz in one of many memorable scenes from Young Frankenstein.

Goodnight, Peter.
