The Christmas Card: The Creatives Tradition

For the next two posts we’ll take a look at a lesser known holiday tradition: the ad house Christmas Card.  These short films are usually chock full of the humor and style that their clients won’t ever let them indulge in, so it gets blown out in a odd holiday greeting (as yesterday’s example illustrates).  In the case of animation studios, it’s just a chance to cut loose and do something gorgeous.  Here’s the seasonal greetings from Sherbert, the group responsible for that awesome Snowman homage Irn Bru spot from last week.

Out of most of the ad group cards I’ve seen, I have to say that the Chris Christmas Rodriguez shorts and Hunting Santa are the hands down winners.
