This new Golf ad has a nice visual trick to it (which I shan’t spoil here), even if it is a bit random.  Of course, not everyone is impressed.  Like say, this gent who did a similarly themed comic two years ago.

Plagiarism?  I dunno.  I mean, what kind of a world would we live in if ad agencies could get away with appropriating, borrowing, or flat out stealing someone else’s work just to sell a product?  Oh wait, the real world.  Carry on.

It’s an interesting ponderance.  People are making jokes all the time in different formats and similiar ideas have to come up all the time.  I’ve thought of good jokes before and later heard a comedian say it.  I just figure a good idea for a joke is going to be thought up by more than one person eventually.

Bonus points awarded for the use of ‘ponderance’, which I’m guessing you made up.  I totally dig it as a word, though.

Yeah, it’s entirely possible that the same idea was separately concocted by two different people. Folks are often too quick to call foul.
