Sorry folks!  In this post-Holiday world, the number of new releases being newly released is low; and along with that, the number of good new releases is even lower.  But if you just get to have that Transbuddha DVD fix that you so desperately need, look no further.

Brokeback Mountain: Collector’s Edition: Gay jokes aside, Brokeback Mountain really is a gorgeous love story that’s touching and heart-breaking without being sappy.  I just hope it isn’t just remembered as that gay movie where they screamed “I wish I knew how to quit you!” If you’ve already got the single disc edition released last year, there’s not much of a reason to double-dip; but if you’re DVD library is sporting a noticeable lack of gay cowboy movies, this might be a good time to head to Best Buy.  For fun you can check out both Alan’s positive review and Aaron’s even more positive review.

The Guardian: Ashton Kutcher decides that he’s a real actor and puts out this inspirational drama re-hash.  Kevin Costner ensues.

Saw III: Be sure to catch up on Jigsaw and all of his crazy hijinks before Saw IV.

This Film Is Not Yet Rated: Filmmaker Kirby Dick takes on the broken MPAA and its power in Hollywood.  You can read Thudarr’s positive review by pulling a clicky on the linky.

Walker Texas Ranger: Season Two:  Just in time to be a year too late for the Chuck Norris phenomena
