Speaking of Towers…

oh, hell ya! You know, all this talk about Towers has got me jonesing for the best damn tower based game of all time:  Milton Bradley’s 1981 classic, Dark Tower.  I remember sitting around the kitchen table playing this with my dad and brother thinking it was the coolest thing of all time.  So from deep within the Transbuddha archives I present to you, my favorite board game of all time.  Enjoy.

As a note, I should point out that while this is my favorite board game of all time, the best game of all time is still (and will always be) Quest for the Crown

I think he menat to say “Everyone knows the Beakman’s World boardgame is the best of all time.”

Geez, I can’t believe you didn’t know that, because it is the TRUTH, unmitigated.

Dark Tower ROCKS!!! I played it 25 years ago with friends, and I still play it with my children!!! When they sold the game at Kay-Bee toy stores SO long ago, they were $40, and then discounted to $20. Now you can’t touch one on ebay for under $200! I’d like to see your ps3 or Wii increase in value tenfold 25 years from now!

So glad you made this visible.  Wonderful – I was too young to understand it when it was a board game, but it had always mystified me.  I can’t wait to play with friends, which I always wanted to do as a kid.
