Stanley Kubrick’s Day of the Fight

Thanks to the kind souls over at the Mutiny Company, you can now see Stanley Kubrick’s first ‘official’ work, Day of the Fight, a 16 minute long documentary about boxer Walter Cartier preparing to fight Bobby James.  Based off a short photo piece in Look Magazine (which Kubrick worked for at the time), it’s a beautifully shot piece that astute film nerds will recognize as the blueprint for a couple of other high profile fight films.
