What’s Noka Worth?

I’d never heard of Plano, TX based Noka Chocolate before reading Dallas Food’s excellent 10 part investigative piece about the company, but I think I’ll keep it off my shopping list now.  Apparently Noka’s jawdroppingly high prices might not be so well deserved.

If you’re familiar with the so called “#1 Luxury Chocolate In the World”, or are just a fan of fine chocolates, I heartily recommend spending the time to read a astoundingly well researched and informative article about the world of gourmet chocolate.

I think being located in a strip in Texas gives it away.

As far as I’m concerned, anyone spending $1,000 dollars for a box of chocolate deserves to be ripped off. Unless the chocolate has diamonds in it, you’re just an idiot.

I say hooray for the intrepid souls who took it upon themselves to feed off of the excesses of American culture. If some rich jackass out there is willing to pay $1,000 dollars for a name and a box please contact me immediatly. I’ll shit in a box and write whatever you want on it.
