Freedom Squad

Keeping in line with my ‘so gawdawful it’ll make you question the goodness of man’ pledge, I’ll introduce you to a new internet series entitled Freedom Squad, which plays like the inner fantasy movie of kids who think 24 is too sissy liberal.

I really hope that this is some kind of bizarre meta-humor, because the alternative is a bit too much to contemplate.  Obviously a caring individual in their life needs to introduce them to porn or a similarly productive hobby, because arch conservative Tom Clancy fantasy land is scary ground for fertile young minds to play in.  Not to mention the fact that were the fate of the free world actually in the hands of these kids, I’m pretty sure the terrorists could defeat them with a couple of well placed Twinkies.

Though hey, I might be wrong and this could be the most bizarre and brilliant anti-humor comedy series ever made.  At 16 minutes I know it’s a lot to ask of you, my dear internet friends, but help me out here: Serious or not?  Brilliant comedy or a frightening glimpse into the mind of a couple of guys who will one day firebomb a Whole Foods market?

I think it’s a little too close to parody to be serious.  The guy says they protect rich people’s assets.  And they joke about having to use their friend’s basement.  Definitely satire.

Hey guys, I’m Jack and I’m one of the co-creators of Freedom Squad. Yeah, it’s comedy. We’re not insane militant conservatives, we just wanted to make fun of them and communists and other stuff… But the twinkies comment was not cool. Seriously. Anyway, the next episode is coming out pretty soon, and it will be broken up into shorter segments, about 5 or 6 minutes each.
