Broadcast Signal Intrusions

Sounds a wee bit naughty, doesn’t it?  Well, the FCC certainly thinks so.  The act of broadcast signal intrusion (or pirating airwaves) has a long history with television, but this 90 second signal hijack (which occurred during the airing of the Doctor Who episode ‘Horror of Fang Rock’ of all things) from November 22nd, 1987 may be the single most famous instance in US broadcast history.  To date, the perpetrators have never been identified.  Behold the weirdness that is the Max Headroom Pirating Incident.
