Wasn’t this song also used in one of Wes Anderson’s films? Could be my ears deceiving me, it’s the kind of song he’d use.

Also, Garden State! Even discarding my rampant love of Scrubs (what’s up 6th season, why are you so sad?), that movie was excellent. I haven’t seen it in a while though, might have to pop it in tonight. Wait, no this weekend. Tonight is Scrubs night.

I doubt anyone around here wants to hear my movie opinions after the Pirates/Matrix debacle, but I really disliked Garden State.  It felt like quite the montage of pointless quirk and Natalie Portman’s character is Annoy incarnate.

I do, however, adore this song.  Zach Braff’s moderately eclectic indie tastes are quite nice overall, actually.  The Scrubs soundtrack is very good.

You know, when I first saw the still image, I thought you were posting some Double Nickels on the Dime era Minutemen.

Sigh. I must admit to being more than a little let down.

I’d have to disagree with you as I found Garden State clever, smart, funny, off-beat, and genuinely moving. I understand your Portman take though, as an actress she’s rubbed me the wrong way before and even did here the first couple times I watched it, but the more I watch her the more I like her choices here. The soundtrack is pretty darn good too.
