Scientists at the European Southern Observatory La Sille, Chile are claiming to have discovered what may be an Earth like planet some 20 light years away orbiting a Red Dwarf star.  Gliese 581 C (seriously, folks.  Worst name ever) rests in a zone that could mean the presence of both an atmosphere and liquid water (two key ingredients in the EZ Bake Oven of Life Cookbook).

I hope there is intelligent life.

Their year is 13 of our days roughly.

That means their whole day happens within 1 hour and 10 minutes according to how we tell time.

THey are probably some kind of hyper beings who can move so fast we could barely see them….

They are the laziest beings we shall ever encounter.

Think about it.  You know you only have a short amount of time before the sun goes down, so why not do just a couple things to set up for some future time when you will actually hunt something, or gather, or whatever.

If there is intelligent life, maybe we can tell Bush that they hate our freedom (and have oodles of oil).  We’ll be colonizing it by the end of the year.
