If you’ve never seen the wonderful 1985 animated film The Adventures of Mark Twain, not only have you not seen some of the best Claymation this side of Wallace and Grommit, you’re also missing out on an inventive Mark Twain primer, as the film touches on nearly every major work Twain produced.

This clip is the ’Mysterious Stranger‘ segment of the film, in which Tom, Huck, and Becky spend a little time with Satan himself, in what has to be one of the best on-screen representations of Heaven’s most bitter ex-employee ever.
