Flight of the Conchords

HBO has given New Zealand’s almost award-winning fourth-most-popular folk duo, Flight of the Conchords, their very own show starting in June, and they’ve put almost the entirety of the first episode up online for your viewing pleasure.

You might remember the guitar strumming duo from their ’Albi the Racist Dragon‘ clip we ran a ways back.

It’s almost a sure bet that this show will get compared to the short lived (and much beloved) Tenacious D series, as both shows feature slightly dim musical duos, but I’m hoping Jemaine and Bret’s less bombastic (and certainly far more subtle) style will get a fair shake with the audience.  Oddly enough, D alum (along with Mr. Show) Troy Miller is exec producing, so that gives me high hopes.
