You don’t think of a public utility as having the wherewithall to put a decent webgame on their site, but New Zealand’s Genesis Energy has done just that with the SimCity-esque ElectroCity, which lets you take control of a small town.  The goal is to grow the town into a vibrant city while balancing out the environmental impact of your growth.

So bust out your city planning skills, put your lone wind farm to work and build! Build! Build! (But not so much you destroy the world)
