Ars Technica has a an interesting rundown on how the traffic flow of the internet has changed in recent years.  Previously, P2P traffic made up the bulk of internet traffic, but now HTTP traffic leads for the first time in four years.  YouTube traffic alone comprises ”20 percent of all HTTP traffic, or more than half of all HTTP streaming video“.  That’s crazy.
